He wants to continue with a conservative approach in the hope it will close on over. As its a loop colostomy he assures me this is possible and of no danger in doing so. I've had a desert spoon of output in the past 3 days and I am quite crampy which he reckons is the bowel stretching. Just have to keep going.

Don't have any advice or helpful things to say, but wanted to send you a big hug, that's some stuff to be going through.
Glad your surgeon is keeping an eye on things!
Sending healing thoughts your way.

Yes hugs from me too Big truck. I really hope it resolves quickly and easily for you,

Bloody hell, Mr. Double Poo! Would like to know more about stem cell therapy. Definitely keep us posted as you go along. Big hugs, man!!

Well stem cell not an option for me, but my new specialist seems to think that a few tweaks in my medication should provide great relief. I just have to wait to see what he has in store for me.

Keep us posted bigtruck. Hopefully the tweaks will help. :)

p.s. I get a fright everytime I open this thread and see that picture! :). You'd think the sight of a stoma wouldn't shock me. :)

Hope it heals fast and smooth for ya.I had some issue with stoma site but Eventually turned out I have major cramping still:-(

Oh my god I'm lost for words can't say that on a medical forum if you don't like it don't come on or don't read them end of!!!!!!!!

I won't post any more if some of the monitors could remove the pictures I would be most grateful. Many thanks.

Hey bigtruck---we asked for pictures, remember? Pictures are very important, especially with the particular issues we have with our stomas, so that we can help each other with stuff that is hard to describe and even more difficult to get an answer for in our daily lives. Never mind whoever posted that idiotic comment.

Hey big truck, I hope you didn't mind my comment. It was not meant to be a criticism and I think its great you posted pictures. The more we see everyones stomas the better. The comment from the other poster about it being disgusting was totally out of line. :voodoo: My comment was only because it was unexpected and I was really just laughing at my own reaction. Plus yours is a hell of a lot prettier than mine! I sincerely apologise if you took it the wrong way. :ghug:

Keep on posting. :)

Thanks guys, it's such a pain, when things are good they're brilliant Stoma hardly works bum works perfectly fistula stays closed no pain I think I have it cracked and then the whole lot goes pearshaped diaharrea fistula open pouring pus feel like shit and in pain! Two complete opposites and it can go from one extreme to another in a very short period of time, hopefully my new gi will come up with the goods to keep things at the top end of the scale.

Thats the frustrating thing about this disease. As soon as you get one problem sorted another presents. I hope the new GI is brilliant.
