Hello all, wanted to share my experience with Shakeology. I noticed that it's been brought up here and there and that most people don't know/haven't heard about it.

I was diagnosed with Crohns back in 2007 after going to the doctor based on a few episodes of abdominal pain. My first few years with the disease were relatively problem free. I was taking Pentasa and really didn't have any problems. 2 years ago is when all the problems started. I went to the ER with really bad abdominal pain, had a CT done which showed a perforation and had emergency surgery. The next 7 months were miserable! In and out of the hospital another 6 times, multiple abscesses, liquid only diets etc. My real break came when I was finally put on Remicade...I felt healthy again! I had lost a ton of weight, but I was slowly able to put some back on and feel good again. Certain foods still brought on abdominal pain, I had gas a lot, and my stomach was almost always gurgling. I wasn't perfect as I would still get the usual symptoms every once in a while.

Then a friend of my girlfriend told me about Shakeology. She told me about all the great vitamins and nutrients in it and how I should try it to see how it helped with my Crohns. I did some googling (if that's a word lol) and saw a decent amount of success stories with it. It was a little more on the expensive side but I figured it'd be worth a shot and ordered some. I got the vanilla but there was also strawberry, chocolate and a few others.

My first thought was that it tasted pretty good. I was told to try mixing it with some things so I added a little peanut butter and vanilla extract to mine. I actually have this for lunch as a meal replacement but you can drink it whenever. The first few days I didn't really feel a difference, though as time went on I did start to feel a little better. I started noticing my stomach gurgling had gone down (not away), the gas had gone away. I FELT better! I've always been really active so energy was never a problem with me, but I did notice a boost in energy as well. After the first couple weeks I was convinced. Remicade keeps me out of the hospital, and Shakeology keeps me feeling good! Quite the 1-2 punch lol. I suggest doing some research on it and giving it a shot :)

Feel free to ask any questions

I imagine there will be some critics of you posting about direct-marketing sales but I'm glad to read this. I've wondered about Shakeology. There's a stimulant in it, isn't there?
So glad it's helping you!

I've never been a coffee drinker so I can't comment on that unfortunately. I'll ask some other ShakeO drinkers their opinion on it

I just ordered a choc/greenberry pack with P90. I started taking magnesium and it's done so much for my adrenal system. Hoping the adaptogens in shakeO just keep on helping. And hopefully I'll be able to do the workouts now!

Nice! Keep me updated on how it goes. I'm doing the 21 day fix extreme along with Shakeology and I've never felt better!

My husband (the one with crohns) and I have been drinking shakeology for about two/three months now! While it is on the expensive side, it goes ABOVE and BEYOND any of the meal replacement shakes out there. And replenishes so much of the nutrients that people (not just ones with crohns) need. Ensure and Boost all have so much stuff that isn't needed (chemical wise) where Shakeology doesn't.
