It shouldn't take too long until you can get back. I'm having an ileostomy done in a little over a week and that should take about a month to heal being laparoscopic so I would say it will take about a month until you are totally better. I think there are more people that have had your surgery and they can give you better advice then I can. I'll be praying for you.

If you do'nt mind me asking what type of music do you play. I'm a big fan of the Manchester scene.

I had the same surgery about 2 months ago and doing awesomely! I had open surgery which is a lot more invasive so having it done laproscopically you should be up an about a lot sooner than me, I came out of hospital after 4 days everything went smooth sailing really, off the pain meds after something like 2 1/2 weeks and had the dressing off after around 3 weeks, the only issue atm is my fitness but i think that's also due to fact I was so ill before my surgery.
Seriously not sugar coating it, best thing i ever did! You'll be up an about in no time just remember to take it easy! :)

I just had an ileostomy done about four weeks ago and it was the best decision I have ever made. I am just now starting to get over the exhaustion and I have had a few complications, but in general I feel so much better than I did before the surgery.

I'm not going to lie to you. Surgery is not a breeze, but as for the actual pain part, mine was very minimal.

Good luck!!!

I had a colostomy this past December, and like Jer's Girl I had very minimal pain as well...and I had open surgery as opposed to laproscopic. Just remember to rest afterwards, and don't try to do too much too fast. Good luck!!!
