So since I was 16 I've had pretty weak bowels/stomach. Eating a mix of random foods would cause diarrhea. I’m lactose intolerant and when eating certain dairy products or pizza I get a TON of diarrhea.
Before I started my corporate America job I was active and would poo about 2-3 times a day, healthy poo. And every now and then would experience the usual diarrhea lasting about an hour or two. Alcohol also causes me to get the DADS(day after drinking *****) sometimes lasting a few days. Sometimes, maybe twice every 3-4 months my symptoms would be severe, meaning I ate all normal bland foods and would still have crazy diarrhea. Now that ive been working this desk job, my diet has gone to **** and im not nearly as active. My symptoms were still normal as before I started up until a few months ago. I only started going once a day and am feeling bloated. I would have the urgency to go but barely anything would come out. This would occur for a few days, then on the 3rd or 4th day I would get cramping after I come home from work and would have an episode of diarrhea. Sometimes controllable, other times straight liquid coming out and uncrontrollable (having to use the womens bathroom sometimes). I’ve also **** myself or pulled over on the side of the highway while commuting to work to go expel the diarrhea. My mother claims to have IBS. I’m finally recognizing I have an issue. What do you guys think?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Do see a GI for this? What are you diagnosed with. diarrhea and constipation could mean allot of things

The best thing is to see a doctor about this they will send you for test and what not. Im sorry you are feeling bad. Please keep us updated

These are tests that indicate inflammation in the body (non-specific), such as ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) and C-Reactive Protein (CRP). Complete blood count would also reveal something. These are not confirmatory, but cheap, easy, exploratory tests.

Ask for a fecal calprotectin. It is a stool test that measures inflammation in the gut. No one can know for sure until the doctor exams you and runs tests on you.
