my story

Hi! I'm 14 years old and I was diagnosed Crohn's in November 2010 after 4 surgeries. I'm from Macedonia so I'm sorry if I make any mistakes at the spelling or the writing. Two years ago I had horrible pain in my stomach. We went to the doctor and he immidiately took me to a surgery from apendix. Two years later (oct 2010) some enormous pain appeared at the same area of the stomach and it started going red. We went to the doctor and he said it's hernia so they took me to a surgery again. After the surgery the place turned into abscess and didn't shut for more than 40 days. Meanwhile, an abscess appeared on the annal area so the doctors said it might me crohn's and took me to a surgery again. 20 days later we went to an ultrasound because of the abscess on my stomach. The doctor said there are some terrible abscesses inside and there are some fisstulas too. We went to a surgery again and after this surgery the doctor said I had Cronh's and he pulled out half of the large intestine. That was a very hard period for me, I haven't grown much this last two years, but now I feel great. I drink some medicines like Decortin, Imuran, Flagyl and Famosan and I am realy careful with the food I eat.
Can somebody else tell me what kind of food they eat so I can dilate my menu?

hiya, first i want to say wow you are soo brave to go through all that at such a young age and come out of it so positive. Well done and good luck with the future. I have also just recently had all of my large bowel taken out and now have an illeostomy. So im just waiting to start feel normal and better..im still experincing the aftermath to the surgary. I find foo with skins on can irriate me a little more...fruits and vegetables etc and also peanuts. But try not to cut down your diet too much..its all tria and error and everybody is different. Still eat what you enjoy, write a diary or what and when you eat, and if you have an effect...keep looking back at your diary and see if you can work out what you need to knock out. The same things dont always effect people so its a shame if you cut it out completely and you didnt need too xx

Thank you all for the replying messages I realy appreciate that and thank you for the recommended sites, i've got some too, but i can't post them because i haven't done 15 posts yet. To:diddi47 : don't worry, everything will be ok, i passed through a very hard period and i thought i wasn't going to survive but the life goes on, we should never give up because things like this happen and unfortenately we experienced them. Now i feel like never before, i feel great and i'm sure you will be feeling very good in a very short time.
