Hi there people, today I was diagnosed with Crohn's of my ileum. For the past few months I've been suffering some horrendous symptoms. Most of you probably know them. One night I was going to visit a friend and I was sick as ****. Stomach and everything was awful. But I went anyway and we had a smoke. I am a liberal guy and I believe it should be legal and my opinion of medicinal marijuana in the states was that it was a loophole for stoners with sore backs to get stoned. Nothing wrong with that but I didn't really believe it had medicinal properties. I had a smoke that night, felt awful still but as I got more and more stoned my stomach pains went away completely, I had an appettite again and I could live a normal life. I know its not a great thing to depend on but it has given me such a good quality of life that before was non existant. I can go out and get through a days work without getting sick sometime through the day. I know its not for everyone but I just thought I'd spread the word and share my experience. I lost a ridiculous amount of weight recently and if it wasn't for cannabis I'd have lost even more and been severely malnourished.

hello partyboy. what part of ireland ru in.
i have UC and am facing remicade to treat it. my GI said that if this doesnt work ill have to have the surgery as all the drugs have failed me.
i am also of drink because of pancreatitis. i like a drink like we Irish do and i miss my sat night bottle of wine. so i had a joint 1 wkend. i havent smoked in a good few years.
Well long story short....my toilet trips went from 14 agonising bloody white knuckle rides to a manageable 4 not so badun's. now im faced with an app wi my Gi morro. dont know what to do.
It has helped me but im not sure if its the tobacco or the mj. dont wanna go back on the cigs as i gave them up last year wi much difficulty.

I'm a Cork man living in Galway and I may be disowned from my county for saying this but Galway > Cork haha and yes I agree, its helped me so much in that regard. I can eat enough to stave off malnutrition.

Im in the same boat you are in. I was hurting really bad from my terminal ileum disease a while back and i was with my friend who smokes alot of mj and she told me to smoke some to see if it helped and about 5 mins after i started smoking the pain went away! I was so happy because it was the first time in 4 years that i found something to help with the pain. So i started smoking it whenever the pain would get bad but i had to stop about a month ago because im trying to find a new job and i know im going to get drug tested. So now im back to suffering with the pain and im on pentasa and entocort which hasnt been helping with the pain like mj did. Theres nothing i wouldnt give to smoke so this pain will go away. Its sad that now i have to be on two medications, one of which is a steroid that has some crappy side effects, when i could just smoke mj to help with the pain. : (
