My symptoms r confusing me

Hi eveyone . I am currently having a flare up on my uc. I have severe pain in the abdomen when passing a stool i can feel it comin on then goes when i have passed but the pain doesnt stop until it has all gone. I am feeling the urge to go to th loo and passing small amounts of blood and clear liquid which seems to be worse through the night. The problem is i associated a flare up with diarhoea which i dont have as i am passing formed stools so i am now starting to worry about what actually could b wrong with me . I am taking prednisolone at the moment 35mg . Could anyone help or have any ideas what the problem could be or is this what a flare up can be like

How long have you been on pred for? You should call your GI consultant or nurse to see what they can do for you.

I feel for you, I really do. Its not nice feeling like this :-(

Thanks im in hospital now had to come to a and e for them to actually listen to me ! But am on steroid injections and antibiotics and fluids at the min think ive got a blockage so going to have some strong laxatives tonights to get me going which im really scared about as i know its going to hurt my tummy bad !

You will be in safe hands if you are actually in hospital. Thats good that you went to A&E, alot of people would just suffer in silence.

Yeah i did for 3 wks then i knew mu body had enough ! Will keep you updated
