hi everyone. i am 36, a mum, wife, and a chronic chrohns sufferer. i was diagnosed at 19 but the chronic part kicked in 4 yrs ago. i have had countless ops and its hard- on my family and me emotionally. I am interested to see how fellow crohns patients cope, laugh, cty, etc. the only ones who REALLY understand is fellow sufferers. i welcome any conversation

The disease is definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. So glad you have a supportive family to lean on during the tough times.

As you search around the forums you will see exactly how fellow Crohn's patients learn to cope on the forums here. We laugh, cry, yell, vent, etc. There is such an awesome group here that I'm sure you will see for yourself very soon and find this place warm and welcoming where you can always find support and friends who know what you're going through!

It is hard not to feel like the only person who is dealing with this disease sometimes. Finding this forum really helps you to understand that you are not alone. This forum has been such a wonderful help to me, and I know it will be for you too!

Welcome, Natt! It is very hard having a chronic illness, and I feel like you in that no one quite gets it. I have so many people telling me perhaps if I put it out of my mind, I'll feel better. First of all, that is rediculous, and secondly how can I ignore constant pain?! That's why I joined the forum! Lots of people like me who know exactly what I am going through. It's a great support system, and I am happy you found us!

Hopefully, you will find that we are a super-supportive community of IBD sufferers and caregivers. I can understand the emotional stress that a chronic disease breeds.

Yeppers, this is the place that you can talk about poop and everything having to do with it in an open and sometime hilarious manner. No question is off limits!

We are also like super strong virtual shoulders if you need a good cry, or need to vent. Check out the subforums too, as there is actually one called Vent Away.

The best part about the Crohn's Forum is that you instantly get new friends who know exactly what you are going thru! It's great!

What meds are you currently on? You'll find lots of info here about different treatment options, etc.
