I have crohns and have tried multiple drugs and now am on cimzia injections. I have been having a lot of nausea lately (have been on cimzia for 4-5 months) and have been throwing up in my mouth and then am able to swallow it :( since I'm usually around other people when this happens. Does anyone have this problem with a lot of nausea/minor vomitting? I have had a bowel resection a couple yrs ago and now my gastro dr just describes my crohns as "moderate".

I just feel super gross and don't want this to continue. It's embarrasing

I'm wondering if possibly you have bad acid reflux? I have a hiatal hernia leading to reflux, and that is how mine presents itself.

I don't think you are truly vomiting since the stomach contractions are strong and forces the vomit out of your mouth- and it's usually more than a mouthful. Also it sounds like you have literally no warning with this? With vomiting I have enough time to leave other people!

Whereas with my reflux I can bring back food, drink, or stomach acid (which tastes exactly like vomit) at any time. I also burp a lot. And it's a pain not knowing if my burp's going to have a 'surprise' in it! I can also feel quite nauseous at times with it, especially if I've eaten rich food or just plain eaten too much.

I take Gaviscon Advance which doesn't actually affect the stomach acidity, so is safe with most meds and conditions. Instead it sits on top of the stomach contents and prevents them being brought back up. Maybe you could try it, and see if your symptoms improve?
