Nausea won't let up. Need suggestions

Ok.. so ive had crohn`s forever and never really had nausea as a symptom.. i started flaring again but this time round im constantly feeling like i want to puke, and often do. I figured i had a bug or something but im goin into my 4th week feeling like this and its yet to let up. My throat is raw, I have next to no energy from not eating or drinking much. Im on methadone and need to drink that vile sh.t and keep it down or else my day is totally messed up and im even having problems with that.. ive been takin this drug called odancitron. Its used for chemo patients to stop them from throwing up, still feels like you want to though... problem with that, to take 4 pills a day is 400 bucks a month. that isnt covered so i just take one in the morning before the methadone in hopes of better being able to keep it down..
Anyway if anyone has any ideas as to what the hell i can do?? My mom said i might have to get used to it if its part of my crohns.. im not willing to accept that! So yeh. HELP PLEASE

Thanks y`All

Wow, your nausea sounds super intense. I'm sorry you have to deal with this :(

It sounds like you are already on intense treatment to try and help your nausea. Have you and your doctor's identified the cause of your nausea? Is it possibly a medication side effect?

I don't have any answers but I do hope that your symptoms ease up soon and you can go about your day more comfortably

My daughter has been going through the same thing for about three weeks. They are claiming she may have a motility disorder. We are seeking second opinion.

I have always seemed to get really bad nausea from my Crohn's, which surprises most doctors. Here are some of the best things I've found to help:

-Drink flat ginger ale, or ginger tea. But don't drink the ginger ale carbonated, because that can cause bloating and worse nausea.
-When you can, eat something bland but a little salty. The salt can cut through nausea.
-In addition to my ondansetron, I take Emetrol a lot. It is an over the counter anti-nausea liquid meant for children and I buy it at my pharmacy.
-Seabands or Psi-bands can be really helpful, and are drug free and pretty cheap.
-Stay hydrated, because dehydration from vomiting/pooping can actually make nausea worse.
-A cool cloth on my forehead or fan blowing on me makes my nausea a little better
-Benedaryl can help with nausea, so if I'm really sick even after my ondansetron and Emetrol, I take a Benedryl.
-Sometimes drinking/eating something sour helps me. I like lemonade or lemon hard candy. Don't know the reasoning behind that, lol
-Take a hot shower/bath.

I hope this helps you a little. You may also want to get a prescription for Phenergan, I know that can help some people much better than ondansetron. I really hope you feel better soon. Hang in there, and I'll be keeping you in my prayers!
