I am planning to go on a trip to an Island on the Barrier Reef in about a month and I'm just a little bit concerned.
I had been planning to go to Bali at the end of last year just after I was diagnosed with crohns (had paid for it and everything) when I ended up being hospitalised and having a bowel resection, so I had to cancel. Anyways, since then I have not gone on any overnight trips... so I'm a little bit worried about what I should take with me and how I should take my medication (without it being taken by security.
Does anyone have any tips about traveling with crohns? I have already thought about taking some extra toilet paper and stuff, because we are hiring a cottage and I don't want to be caught out. But what other things could be useful?
Any advice would be amazing :)

Thanks in advance

hi f_else ive been away a cpl of times but not out the uk but from scotland to england so its still a good 5-7 hour travel time,i always keep my meds on me as i wouldnt want to loose them,i usualy have baby wipes handy to,take some imodium before i travel and try find seats close to loo's.tend not to eat to much also that way you might not need to go to loo.

If you're going to a different time zone make sure u keep track of when to take medication. I went to New Zealand (from ireland) during a flare in 2007 while i was on 40mg pred and pentasa. Think i took meds to early/late becuase i didnt keep track of the time intervals too well and ended up on oxygen and puking and worst diarrhea ive had while stuck on a 25 hour flight. Not the highlight of my life to say the least lol.

I found it easiest to just take my pills according to the new time zone- I normally took my pills at breakfast time so just took with my breakfast on holiday. But then I was only on Pentasa and a few supplements, might be different for other meds.
