Need assistance!!

I have had a MAJOR issue with doctors in my area, mostly because I have had Crohn's for the past 25 years and yet they act as if I just read a description on webmd and came in there to argue with them. Nobody will actually work WITH me and doctors so quickly forget they are hired help. My last primary Dr (who I have "let go") after standing in his office 68lbs, with 2 kids under 3 in TEARS begging him to give me another referral or prednisone for the current flare or SOMETHING he ended up giving me 30qty 20mg tabs
What is the best way to take these since he did not provide any dosing information whatsoever ever, I remember starting with 60mgs for a comparable flare in the past but I'm not sure

You need to get in with a new GI
When to take medicine and how much dosage to take is medical advice that can be only given by a doctor

A GI can guide on what is needed and how to proceed

The prescription doesn't give dosing info? I'd call the pharmacy.

As for you doctor, he sounds terrible. I agree with the above poster, you need to get a new doctor.

During my flare up, I did not take 60mg of steroids a day. I think I was at 20 or 40....I can't remember.

Fire the doctor, to prescribe a medication without instruction is grounds to do so.

A doctor should assess based on your conditions if you should start at 50mg/day and taper very quickly or like 25mg a day and taper off more slowly.
