Hello Oliver,
You have been enduring a long bout of ill health.
Many of us feel down at times and it is important to take strides to emerge out of it.
Crohns interferes with our social lives and this is a big factor in the onset of depression.
However, it is up to us to meet the challenge and take the bull by the horns so to speak.
You are already doing this by joining us in the forum, welcome.
You do seem to be taking a lot of painkillers which while they have their uses , they can also have a down side.
Have you tried to identify any foods that may be causing some symptoms?
Some crohnies find foods to avoid, others find that there is no particular food item that upsets them.
No two crohnies are alike.
Your doctors are there to help you, and you are not a burden to them, you are their bread and butter and they are there to provide a service.
Currently, I would be most concerned about the black vomit you mention, this can happen with internal bleeding and would suggest an urgent visit to the ER for someone to help you and generally review your
history and drug treatment as soon as possible..
Your ill health may be contributing to your feelings of being lost and helpless----your doctors will help you through this by instituting the correct diagnosis and treatment.
How long is it since you have been reviewed by a GI, and have you had recent endoscopies, colonoscopy, lab tests, blood work analysis.?
These are things you really need to review and talk out with your GI.
Please keep in touch with us and let us know how you make out.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes
Trysha

Hello and thank you for the reply.i have changed my diet so many times its not even funny.Although i do realize the pain medication maybe alot (i thought this also) It doesnt totally stop the pain.my last colonostipy was about a year and a half ago. After reading your message i called my GI and am currently waiting for a reply. As i mentioned before im hard headed especially with ER visits they always keep me for a few days.If my doctor says go i will...i think that for me that before this ive never had a broken bone ,surgery nothing wrong.now its like all at once its pileing on...I believe that deep down im worried about going because i dont want them to find something else..

Hi Oliver and welcome,

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I agree with Trysha. Vomiting black foam warrants a trip to the ER unless your doctor gets back to you very soon.

Crohn's Disease is NOT a disease to be stubborn about. If you continue to be stubborn then sooner or later they WILL find something else, something that could have potentially been avoided.

We're here for you bud.

*hugs*

Hi Oliver,
It is really good to hear you say you have called your GI.
This is a good step to your recovery.
It may mean a short time in the hospital and may not but will be well worth it when you feel better for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Feel better soon
Hope to hear from you
Hugs and best wishes

Hi Oliver, I just wanted to say that I've had problems with vomiting the black foam in the past...mine was from stomach/esophogial ulcers that formed a few years ago as a side effect of my Crohn's, they usually bleed out if I get stressed too often. I know that Percocet can definitely irritate this condition. I hope this is not the case for you...but I would definitely go to the ER if the vomiting doesn't stop! Get well soon!
