I'm hoping someone can give me some advice please. Right now I'm finding it really hard to eat or drink anything, I end up feeling sick for hours (if I'm not actually sick). I'm actively avoiding eating and drinking out of fear and my insides feel better (strangely), so.
Should I force food and drink and risk pain and sickness or leave everything in hopes my body will find its own rhythm again.

Thanks a lot

A lack of fluids will affect your kidney function rapidly. You will also get dehydrated and could end up in the ER. You should contact your doctor.:ghug:

I was in the same situation for a long while, avoided eating, not so much drinking, and felt less symptoms, well sure, as the intestines don't have much to do, they feel pretty okay, at least better. In fact, it does not help the inflammation itself, it just provokes less symptoms.
Have you considered formula like ModulenIBD, Ensure, Fresubin, Fortisip, Elemental028, Peptamen etc.? It is absorbed in the upper small intestine, wich hopefully is not affected by the inflammation in your gut, and it gives the rest of the small intestine and also the large intestine a nice rest for a while (don't worry, you do have BM's also then but way less often).

It also helps alter the gut flora which seems to be different from healthy individuals as well, so two ways to also help with inflammation itself on the one hand and help your body with fighting inflammation by giving him what he needs and has not received for a long time, all the essential nutrients, vitamins and enough calories.

Maybe you can also see a dietician that is specialised in IBD, was very very helpful for me.

Hope you feel better soon!!!

I really don't want to end up back in hospital again so i'm up for trying some stuff. I've seen fortisip and fortijuice and some powder stuff called complan i think. so i guess soft foods are the way forwards, for a while i thought that i cold handle them better but when i went to my doctor he just looked at me funny -.- i'll go back to him and have a chat.

thanks

bit worried now, for about 3 days i've only had like 2 glasses of milk, may be its gone to far =/

I'm gonna echo what everyone else said but you really gotta stay hydrated I've been in that situation many times and it stinks when you eat or drink and it hurts but you'll end up in the hospital anyway if you get dehydrated and you have full control of your fluid intake.
