Welcome everyone my name is Dustin and I'm 21 years old.
After a trip to the emergency room last October from instense pain and multiple doctors visits later I've been diagnosed with mild Crohn's disease. I'm honestly grateful that it's only mild Crohn's and that it's not cancerous.
My doctor right after the colonoscopy mentioned the possibility of it being benign or actual lymphoma which I wasn't to keen on hearing so that left me with a bad thought for a couple weeks waiting on results..
Some short back history is I used to be a bit of a hypochondriac and it sometimes pops up and in the case of the dr's worst case it had me going. Haha
Plus my grandfather on my mothers side had colon cancer and my mother had a rare breast cancer so I don't want any of that. On a positive side note regular colonoscopies are probably for the best anyway.
What I find pretty annoying are the every accumulating Dr's bills and the stupid people I have to deal with regarding medical stuff. I swear it's made age a couple years dealing with all of this billing crap. lol
I also miss eating extremely spicy foods and Dominoes..
All in all though I'm not terribly bothered by having Crohn's because I've faced worse in my life and don't want to let it bother my since I'm still pretty young. I was kinda reluctant to join forum for this maybe because it made it more real but after reading a few posts it seems like a pretty cool forum with plenty of useful information.
