new here,not new to crohns

Hi, I'm just another newbie.....my name is Marie, I was diagnosed when I was 21.
This is the short version of my story....
My symptoms started in mid 2002, by October 2002 I was hospitalised and diagnosed with crohns colitis. I have been on the usual stuff a mix of steriods, pentasa, azathioprine, remicade etc ever since. I have had a flare up nearly every year or so and am still hoping I will get a break one day!!!!
I am currently on Asacol, and Remicade every 8weeks plus a couple of other things.
Things have began to go down hill again in the last few weeks...I have a colonoscopy and remicade scheduled for next month. So it's wait and see for now.

I just wanted to say how great it is to have found a place to come and find support to help get through the tough days!

Hey Welcome Mussen,

This is a great forum and the guys here have really helped me through the "dark days" of the last year.

If you get half the support I have on here you will be overwhelmed! I am sorry you are on a downhill at the moment, but you have come to the right place to lift your spirits!

Keep us posted how you get on with the colonoscopy.

Hi Mussen, welcome!! Lots of information and support for Crohn's and colitis, I have Crohns but just had a scope yesterday for Colitis, so I jumped on that bandwagon by mistake... I have Crohns a long time and just when you think you got it licked something else pops up. I have given up lots, and working very hard on keeping my stress down, it causes me havoc, all the time. You will find something that works, it takes time, which is hard I know. Hang in there and keep us posted on you and your appts!

Hey Mussen. Welcome to the forum.

Remember, you are not just another newbie. You are one of us due to the fact that you know what we go through and vise-versa. We are never happy to see new members because it means one more person has this monster inside of them. We would rather see no new members cause that would mean that great progress has been made to control if not cure us.

But since that is not the case, jump right in and check everything out and help encourage the ones that have just been diagnosed.

Hi Mussen
welcome
hope you feel better soon
lots of friendly people here to help you
xxx

Welcome Marie!
Sorry to hear that you're struggling from this blasted disease! BOO! I hope the colonoscopy brings some light to why things are going downhill, and you're able to get things back under control again!
