I've just joined this forum, despite having been diagnosed with cd for 30+ years.

Had surgery 11 years ago, right hemicolectomy, + removal of terminal ileum.

Was very anaemic prior to surgery, that's corrected now, but the tiredness and fatigue continue. I've had b12 injections in the past, but my levels went sky high so not had for at least a couple of years.
Have regular episodes of diarrhoea (daily) and I'm sure that doesn't help with the fatigue.quality of life?
I wonder how many others find fatigue really affects their lifestyle/
Currently on Pentasa (Mesalazine) + Cholestyramine.

I live in the uk - I notice that a lot of the contributors to the forum live in the US, is this forum mainly for us residents?

Hi,
I'm from Hampshire in the UK. Like you i have had a hemicolectomy removal of terminal ileum 7 years ago - then had a full remission.

Im on Colestyramine, B12, Vitamin D3, and have just been diagnosed with a fistula, so i am starting Remicade soon.

This forum is wonderful, lots of very knowledgeable, experienced people who are always there for advice and support.

Welcome :ysmile:

Have you ever had an iron infusion?
I had one 6 weeks ago, the relief was immediate, but I'm starting to feel tired again, just waiting on blood work to come through.
Enjoy the forum, lotsa luv

Yep, we're all over the map (add yourself if you like, click on the link, directions are in the second post under the link) http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=20514.

Welcome to the forum! :D

If your fatigue can't be explained from current meds to being low or deficient in any nutrients (have all your levels checked) then the Crohn's itself may likely be the cause. Might be time for a med check if the current ones aren't quite doing their job. What has your GI said about your fatigue?
