new pressure/sharp pains

First off, happy easter to everyone!

I'm having really sharp pains about an inch or two below my navel. I'm concerned because my inflammation is usually in the lower left area and I'm hoping it has not spread. Also, I spike a fever and have a very sensitive gag reflex when this is going on. Anyone know what might be going on?

Thanks!!

Hi, Im sorry i have no idea what could be going on.. I just wanted to say I hope you start to feel better soon and that your inflammation hasn't spread to a new area.

I get my inflammation & pain on my right side, I also get bad gag reflex when flaring and often throw up anything I finally manage to eat!

Good luck I hope you can get on top of it quickly. If it keeps up I would suggest speaking with your GI before it gets to out of control.

Call your doctor immediately, this is what I experienced a week before I was rushed to the hospital with a perforated intestine, it turned out that those pains that I was having (halfway between my crotch and belly button, always worse when I had a full bladder or had to poop) were micro perforations. Most of them went away when I started treatment but one split open due to some constipation/blockage.

I'm not in anyway saying that what you have is exactly what I have, but it sounds similar enough for me to be generally worried and want you to get it checked soon! I would not want anyone to have to go through the same pain I did.

Please keep us updated as I would like to know when you start getting better!! =]

That is how I ended up with surgery, that pain in the middle is sometimes cause from the bms to not go anywhere,NOT necessarily spread in that area. Inflammation causes a lot of pain not just in the area you are inflammed. I would watch what you are eating and have a bland diet or Ensure to rest it. Sorry you are going through that. When is your next Gi appt? You could be obstructing.

So I went and saw my GI today while getting my 3rd vedlizomab infusion and he didn't seem too alarmed about the pain. He said "I don't think its anything to get a CT scan over.". I am still having the pain and it makes me go from "full of life" to a zombie. Anyone else have pain like I described above or any further advice?

PS. I have no health insurance so just going to the ER isn't that easy.
