Can your bowel just stop functioning? I'm concerned as for the last two days Ive only gone to the bathroom once each day and have been experiencing minimal "crohns pain" and some different sort of intermittent completely tolerable pain on other areas. Anyway, in the last two days I've gone from not being able to finish a meal without needing a bathroom run (currently flaring) to only going once a day unformed but minimal pain.

So can my bowels just stop working? Or am I going into remission completely unmedicated?

You could, and I am not saying that is what is happening it would be a blockage.

I've been thinking about that and have been wondering if that is painful at all? I'm not having any cramping whatsoever.

Has the doctor done a coke or an enterography on you lately?

I had an MRI in November that showed two inflamed ares no narrowing, no polys, no growths or tumours.

I have not been on any crohns medication for over a year. This flare has been mild then moderate then gone the moderate then mild and over and over. Now I'm experinecing weird small pains in my sides I'm thinking related to something else entirely. What? I have no idea. Lol. But I'm not experiencing any bloating or feelings of fullness or cramping.

I am feeling myself some pains on my side also. You are not on any Crohn's medication right now? Call your GI and tell them everything that is going on.

She didn't want to put me on anything as I have a colonoscopy booked for Monday and they want me sick for it I guess....that's if I even go through with it since it terrifies me to no end. I'll call tomorrow but was just wondering if this is an emergency sort of deal or if it can wait? I guess if I'm not in any pain it can't really be an "emergency". I'm just totally freaked out because I usually go to the bathroom 5-10 times a day and it's totally water. The last two days I have gone once each day and it not formed, but it's not as watery either. I don't know. Now I'm feeling better and im scared? Lol

I wonder what those side pains are anyway? They don't feel like they're coming from my intestines. They feel sort of "away" from them. If that makes any sense at all. Lol.

No. It has to wait until morning. Do you think I'm in an emergent situation even without any pain?

No. No pain. No vomiting. No bloating. I can however hear my tummy makin noise lol

I would say call your doctor early in the morning and let him or her know what is happening. Let us know.

Ok! Will do! At least it's looking like I'll have an uneventful night. Maybe I'll sleep through?! Ah the dreams! lol.

Well I slept throug the night with no issues. Woke up and went to bathroom and have a semi solid movement which is unheard of in The last 7 months or so. Lol. Still no pain. Can't figure out if this is spontaneous clinical remission or something else. Have an appointment with my GP today at 2:30 so 6 and half hours from now. She's not my specialist (who is impossible to see) but hopefully she'll have some sort of answers for me. Will update after the appointment.

An obstruction or blockage would include pain, possibly fever, vomiting and bloating. If you click on the highlighted words "blockage" in the 2nd post it will give you a description of the symptoms.

Crohns disease is a cyclical disease it does wax and wane even without the inclusion of medication. When inflammation reduces to simmering levels you can become asymptomatic but that doesn't mean the inflammation isn't doing damage to the intestines just that the outward symptoms are not present.

Hopefully, your doc can give you some guidance.

Back from seeing my GP and she's says the weird pains I'm having is from the inflammation. So that's good news I guess as it's not anything new to add to the list.

Still feeling tons of anxiety regarding the colonoscopy on Monday though but I guess then they'll see what's going on up in there. Lol

Hi ok well at least knowing whats causing them helps. As you say no new stuff to deal with. Ye colo's a pain but can be a great help. One of the many gifts crohns gives you..
