So new to the forum but been dealing with crohns for about 9 years. Started off its nerves then its ibs a few years went by started using the second home more"restroom" and more of course I had no insurance at the time so about a year went by I was in the "restroom" second home 20 plus times a day. About another year goes by. I finally get insurance and get a referral to see a specialist 3 months later see the doc. Doc says colonoscopy I said ok few months later finally get the money to pay for the procedure. 2 weeks later I will always remember this day I was standing outside at work next to a tanker trailer it was like 99 degrees outside nurse from doc calls me and says I have crohns. So a few weeks later I go see doc he gives me prednisone entocort pentasa. He reallly made me made cause he didnt tell me anythong juat said here take these so few months later I was worse lots of blood in my stool.
So I go back to doc told him meds feel like they are making me worse he actually got mad and said crohns is serious disease like I havent read everything on it by now I just left him standing there still havent paid that jackass to this day. So few more months went by oh its 2009 I end up in the hospital for a week really bad flare. I even told that same doc to get the f**k out of my room. So from there I was in the er a few times in 2010 2011 and then 2012 came this whole time I was on prednisone some of it was from mexico I self medicated cause I lost my insurance it was crap anyway. Jan 2012 er visit oh the dalaudin fistula with abscess lots of antibiotics meet a new doc in this area he acrually listened to me. So meet with him started azthioprine until august then said lets do Remicade so tapered off prednisone wow talk about dry skin bam september lost my job because couldnt do it missed 8 days in sep and had a million dollar project going on.
Sweat I had high fever and sweating bad for a week go to er said I had a bad bladder infection witch I did. Week later different er ct scan large abscess in my liver. Stupid doc in er told me it was cancer what a f*** idiot. Transfered to different hospital drained abscess which was almost the size of a baseball 300 cc drained installed tube had it for 7 weeks and had picc line also. On antibiotics for 8 weeks rhen had drain removed. Then week later high fever 105- 106 ER again 3 days later picc line infected with staph the hospital doc sayed we should have removed that days ago I said no crap cant stand some doctors attitude. Anyway seen specialist in dallas my doc wanted a sec opinion going to start remicade I currently only taking tramadol for pain but I havent worked since october did I mention I worked 80 to 90 a week for the last 5 years..........
