I've had the symptoms for years (diarrhea, anemia) but they never found the cause until recently. I had clean endoscopies and colonoscopies so there was no diagnosis until I had a capsule endoscopy that showed lots of inflammation in the middle of my gut in an area not seen by the other two tests.
I also have inflammatory arthritis and occasional uveitis.

I'm having particular trouble lately with leaks. I've been wearing depends at night and sometimes during the day.

The symptoms are getting worse and leaving me kind of depressed. I've just started my new medication (related to sulfasalazine) and if that doesn't work I may end up on a biologic.

Hi Sean,

welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well for a long time already.
Have you come across the Arthritis Support Group here in the forum? There are quite a few who are affected by enteropathic arthritis, including myself.
There is a lot medication out there already and you have only tried one so far, am I right? So if it should not get any better, there are many options available for you, just be patient. Biologicals are very good medications, according to me, but everyone has to decide for himself. All the best!

Hi. I am glad they were able to diagnose what is going on. I am hoping the best for you. Stay encouraged.
