No active disease, 6-8 BMs per day. Is this remission?

I recently had a MRI enterography. They said they couldn't find any active signs of the disease but sometimes I still go 6 to 8 times a day. Could they be wrong saying I am in remission?

Imaging will always have the potential to give you a false reading. For this reason it is important that the MRE is used in conjunction with other forms of testing so you get a more accurate and complete picture.

I personally would not use imaging alone to tell me if I was in remission or not and even more so if your disease is located in an area where scopes can reach. Imaging will never replace what can be seen with a scope and the physical evidence that can be harvested.

Have you had bloods, faecal calprotectin and scopes done?

They couldn't go all the way up with the last colonoscopy. Sometimes I go as much as six to eight times to the bathroom.

not all GI are used to use it yet. You may have to make your own research to get access to it. you can ask your nurse first. If another hospital in your region analyses it, you will be able to do it and your sample will be transfered in that other hospital for analysis.
