I was diagnosed about 2 weeks ago. I went to the ER two days a go with classic symptoms of a heart attack everything turned out ok but something rubbed me wrong when the doctor asked me if I was stressing over anything and I told her of my recent diagnosis of Crohn's she said people manage Crohn's very well and she would rather have Crohn's than any other disease. Like it was a common cold or something.

Well, I think that ER doctor obviously knows nothing about Crohn's. Although I hope your disease is managed well and you do never have to worry about it. Glad you didn't have a heart attack.

Now I have heard everything, just when I thought people saying stupid things was enough and now a doctor? Piece of work.

Glad you found us, we are normal (relatively) and we dont bite. Great people here who have a wealth a knowledge and support.

I think people see crohns as good as it rarely kills people, they dont realise that its so hard to live with it and everyday is a struggle
