So I'm currently undiagnosed, but the GI is leaning towards Crohn's. My question is do the flares stop on their own without treatment sometimes? Ive been miserable since November but now this past week the diarrhea seems to have subsided, but I still feel really weak and puny. And if the flares do stop do they leave evidence in the intestine? I can't have my scopes done til the end of May and I'm terrified whatever this is will be gone and go even longer undiagnosed!

Not in my experience, no...

There can be evidence in the intestine -- scarring -- but otherwise it can heal when you're out of flare.

If you're this sick it really sounds like you need to get on medication as soon as possible, though. :(

Unfortunately the end of May is what my doc sees as asap apparently. I guess there's always that chance I'll wake up tomorrow and the diarrhea will be back...I've had a few episodes of false hope already lol

Yes, with IBD there can be no rhyme or reason for what triggers a flare or why it suddenly ends. People can go into long periods of remission and I know many who have many good years and live flare free. Whether disease would be visible during a flare free mode is a maybe. It would likely depend if you are 100% inflammation free or just mainly good and if any existing damage was done in terms of scarring that would be evidence of prior activity.
