I'm stuck in limbo waiting for my GI to get back to me with my colonoscopy/endoscopy results, which I probably won't get for another month when my next appointment is...

I was just wondering if anyone with IBD has completely normal bowel movements. I've had bouts of severe stomach pain and blood in my stool, but I go once a day. My bowel movements haven't changed since I first started experiencing symptoms almost 6 months ago. Even when I had the worst stomach cramps to date (and blood) my stool was still well formed (maybe a little softer than usual, and with noticeable amounts of mucous when I wiped) and I was only going once a day. My GI had already diagnosed me with IBS, but I'm starting to wonder if I should be looking past IBS/IBD to something else. I would love to hear other member's feedback as it is quite hard to communicate with my GI.

In general my BM are normal always have been. If anything medication would effect it. I only had really bad d when I had an abscess and very occasionally get it since the resection. I don't think I had mucus much and rarely had blood. If anything I always felt my bowels were a bit sluggish. It was never really a symptom of my crohns. I never had symptoms of IBS until the resection last year and now although I'm great since surgery I feel I have a more sensitive bowel now with symptoms similar to IBS. Hope this is of some help
