Hello all ,
I have been having issues lately , i have been on Humira for almost two years, think crohns isfine not sure , i have been having diahrea on and off this year. Gi doc seems to think that also have ibs , i am just so tired all the time! Two nights ago i woke up in so much pain felt like gas but it was starting right where your ribs end in themiddle almost felt like a burning, i just cant seem to get rid of the pain it is mostly in my belly button area and my left side .it is affecting my sleep which i rarely get because of the constant pain, nausia ,night sweats, joint pain also,i am calling my gi today. Anybody seem to think my crohns is coming out of remission? I am just not sure anymore😔

It really doesn't sound like IBS. It always seems odd to me when doctors say someone with IBD also has IBS. Two unrelated illnesses causing similar digestive symptoms seems too much of a coincidence. And even if your doctor does think you have IBS he should still be trying to treat it.

I think you need tests to determine whether this is active Crohn's causing your symptoms - bloods, fecal calprotectin and some imaging if you haven't had any done recently. Nausea, night sweats and joint pain aren't consistent with IBS but they do suggest active Crohn's.

Your GI shoudl also check your Humira levels and the antibody levels in your blood to see if you need to change the dosing schedule or perhaps change to a different med if Humira is no longer working for you.

Good luck! Let us know how you go!
