So, I've read a few posts from months ago where others' have seen the little white Pentasa granules in their stool, and mostly everyone said it's normal and doctors didn't seem worried about it.

However, I feel like a large amount of the granules from the casings are being excreted.. to the point where now I'm worrying if it's going to work? I mean, it seems like if I'm losing 50% of the medication - it's not absorbing or whatever, right? Anyone experienced this? I'm not talking just a few white granules here or there... it's a LOT.

Thanks in advance. I'm just sick of being sick.

Apparantly it is normal, but you Americans have a different Pentasa from us, ours isn't in a capsule, it's a tablet that disolves. I can see the granules in my stools too. Not a lot, just speckles.
Try not to worry about it, but if you are, see the doc for reassurance.

I found the exact same thing. and also gave my urine a purple-ish tint that stained that toilet. It definetly makes you wonder if it would help at all

im on the granule type and saw consultant yesterday and mentioned that i think it just goes straight through, and he said the majority will stay in the system and to see granules in the loo is perfectly normal and not to worry.
