Nursing on prednisone

Hi! Has anyone nursed while taking pred? I have a 2 month old who I'm exclusively breastfeeding. So far we've done great but shortly after he was born I relapsed. I started back on Remicade, but it's not 'kicked in' yet. I've read conflicting info on breastfeeding while taking pred, so I was hoping to hear from someone with first hand experience. TIA!!

Sorry- my little one's nowhere near ready for breastfeeding yet! But you could try emailing the breastfeeding network [email protected] I emailed them to ask about azathioprine as there's conflicting information, and they sent me a few studies, summarised the main findings for me, and the lady who dealt with my enquiry has Crohn's herself so had a few other tips for me!

Thank you Rebecca! I'll try that. I think I'm at the point where I have to just go for it. I've read a bunch of stuff online and it seems ok, but haven't actually talked to anyone who did it. I know prepregnancy talking to the Mom's on this forum who used Remicade during pregnancy and breastfeeding really settled my mind. I will definitely send an email to the network you suggested though! And I really appreciate you taking the time to answer.
