Does anyone eat it? Had anyone had problems with eating it? It has 15℅ of daily fiber. I haven't been keeping my journal recently do I can't tell if pain level or frequency was heightened when I began eating it a couple weeks ago. I very much want to continue eating it

It has been recommended to me. I was eating it a few years ago and I don't remember having any problems.

I love porridge. It causes no pain as it passes through my strictures and is very filling.

If my Dietician wouldn't freak out then i'd eat nothing but.

I normally eat it everyday. C-diff at the min, so on clears. I truly believe it did me good. Kept me regular with no problems

I, too, have oatmeal porridge for breakfast every day. I soak it overnight in water and yoghurt and cook it for a long time so that it is almost smooth. I sometimes add mashed banana and I have it with goat's milk kefir. It has never caused me problems.

No problems here. Oatmeal doesn't bind up on adhesions if you have had resection surgery. A diet with high fiber is good for CD patients. It helps to keep the food in your piping so that it can be digested and prevent malnutrition.

I also eat oatmeal regularly. As long as it's mushy and not hard/crunchy, then it's fine for me. I like to soak it in almond milk with some chia seeds for a few hours, then I add fruit (today it's blueberries). I usually make it first thing in the morning and pack it in my lunch bag to have as a late morning snack at work. Yum!

Oatmeal is soluable fiber. It absorbs water or milk and begins to break down before you eat it. Soluable fiber is generally good for Crohns. I have never had a problem with it. Now Non-soluable fiber should be avoided.

Was recommended to me also, getting along with dissolvable oats (made from oat flour) personally. Can't have normal oats, even the tiny ones as cooked oatmeal. I usually have them with plain yogurt, soak them in it over night, like Swiss Bircher Muesli but just without the fruit and nuts for sure for me.
