I had to take my diagnosis in my own hands. My good GI had actually transferred me to a partner in his office who would only consider IBS as the cause. Meanwhile I kept going to my GP to try to figure this out. I got my GP to put me on Entocort and then told the GI partner that I wanted to go back to the good GI. (lots of drama, I know) When I finally got back to see the good GI in June, I had been on Entocort for 3 months from my GP. When he reviewed everything and added in that Entocort was actually helping me drastically, I got my diagnosis.
Don't get me wrong. I know I also have IBS (have had it all my life), but this past year was NOT from that.
So, now that things are getting better, all I'm dealing with now is the minor Crohn's issues, IBS and dumping from the gallbladder surgery. Talk about having to know your body to decide what medication needs to be taken that day!
