Hi fellow Crohnies...
I need your help with a project that I am doing for my local CCFA chapter. I need people who have Crohn's or UC to write one paragraph about why they need to raise awareness and money for IBD. For those of you who participate in fundraising events, such as walking, running, biking, luncheons, etc., please tell me what these events mean to you.
Please indicate whether it is ok for me to publish your paragraph/brief story for others to read.
I will say something like this:
Next summer will be my third year participating in the Take Steps walk in the Seattle area. I do this because it is an amazing opportunity for me to use my voice and experience with Crohn's to reach out to people in my area. Without the money raised during these events we wouldn't have the valuable programs and research to move forward with finding a cure. CCFA also uses the money we raise to send kids with IBD to camp each summer. Most importantly, I walk because I don't want my son to know the pain that Crohn's can cause.
