HI Everyone,

I am looking for some input.

In June of 2010 I had seen a local GI who said I had crohn's, his bedside manner was not the best.
So my family doctor had sent out a few referrals, I was taken in by another doctor about 45 minutes away and he believed it was IBS not crohn's but was unsure so he requested the pill cam, and to do that another doctor 2.5 hours away picked up my referral, Now I am with that doctor several tests later both doctors still do not believe I have crohn's and I still do not feel any better.

I am at the point where I am thinking of returning back to the first doctor who said I had crohn's but what if I really don't. I am so lost.

I have an appointment with my family doctor today at 4:30 and I am going to speak to him about it, maybe he can talk to the first doctor himself to see.

Any advise will help.

Hi Daunting.

That sounds really frustrating. Have you had a colonoscopy?...that was the definitive test for me. I was the reverse. I thought I had IBS and after the scope...the GI informed me it was Crohns....I was floored. Didn't see it coming tbh.

Hi Daunting, Have you had a colonoscopy done? Since I had my colonoscopy, I have spoken with 3 GIs and they all indicated the colonoscopy was usually very conclusive. I'm not sure if a pill cam shows the same things, but figured I'd ask. If you haven't had one, I'd ask about it. Good luck!!

I'm sorry I should of mentioned this.

I have had a colonoscopy with the first doctor who saw small ulcers and the path was inconclusive, he diagnosed me with crohn's with that. The doctor who is 2.5 hours away did another and found the same ulcers and said it was not crohn's. The ulcers he saw were not A-typical for crohn's.

Thanks.
