My partner of 10 years has colitis , she was diagnosed 6 years ago after the birth of our son. The last 6 years has had it's up's and downs , she currently take asacol suppositories twice a day along with Mesalazine sachet . I don't find the NHS all that helpful and my partner no longer allows me to go with her for her appointments as I had a little disagreement with the first specialist we saw .
I have used and grow cannabis in the past and I'm willing to do so again if she will benefit from it but there is also the implications of the law . I'm look for some info on strains which people find work well for them as a starting point . I have looked at some of the cbd crew selection with a 1-1 ratio some being indica and some hybrid . She also suffers with insomnia and the cramps on the night don't help either . I use to use main sativa back in the day but I know that might not help her with her sleepless night but could help during the day .

I feel for anyone who has a chronic pain illness , not sure if bud buddy's is still active in the UK but there should be more like them .
Thanks for reading
Dave

Hey m8

Its good that you are looking out for her.
MMJ has been my saviour and like you I used to use it for recreational use when I was younger.

Strange how these things work out, now I use daily and it helps me work, look after the family and do all the things I used to before being diagnosed

My preference are indica strains that help numb the pain in the short term as well as helping me sleep and relax.

I normally use Underground Originals Blues or Catatonic, both help and I find them perfect for my needs.

Good luck

Hey

Thanks for the reply , from what I have been reading one of the best ways to consume is by eating it (Canna butter) . We both quit smoking cigarettes a few years ago so smoking could be a bit harsh for her . I use to use a DIY vaporizer back in the day which I always reminds me of popcorn . Might have to look into buying her a pax or a solo as I know eating it can sometimes take up to 2 hours before it kicks in where a vape would be almost instant if she is in pain.
Might be a good idea for me to read up on dosage on edibles to as I know this can be a bit tricky . If you don't mine me asking , how to you consume yours and what do you find works better for you?
