We're going on for 10 months since I have had SEVERE pain under my left rib, gripping intended sharp you name it went up my back a d disabled me to the point where I was hospitalized and the doctors had to wait 3 days before they found enough pain relief for me to even lay down let alone touch me...

I had untold tests in the end I was given lorcet for pain relief and Valium for stomach spasms, Valium does nothing. So obviously it's just my crohns causing the pain.

The past 3 days I've had HORRIBLE pain in my lower ribs upper stomach left and right and middle sometimes it'll jump from side to side sometimes the too my chest will hurt sometimes lower into my stomach my back always aches and hurts. I can't lay down (it's always at its worst at bedtime) it often hurts to now or breathe deep etc....

It could very well be a viral infection but sometimes it hurts so much I'm convinced it could be more... I took a lorcet it only took the edge off the pain (I take the lorcet plus and I rarely take more than 2 tablets a week, actually I rarely take one) I'm scared if the pain killers lol but they don't help n the past three nights I've basically cried myself into exhaustion where I have eventually found restless sleep....

Does anyone else suffer with pain in there chest their ribs or anything that's vaguely familiar? My crohns is always blamed and then I'm told I'm the healthiest they've seen me in the past 12 months or so... I worry about the cost if tests but I just wana feel normal please lol.
I'm 22 next week and I left the new year party at 1030 to sit in my onesie under my electric blanket with hot chocolate.... Lol sometimes life is a tease

Hi Novice! :) Sorry to hear you're in so much pain with no real explanation. :(

I have to ask what tests you've had done already. This information will help us help you. :)

For pancreatis. I had blood tests to check that, which came back normal.
I then had an ultrasound which also came back normal...
I have had 2 colonoscopies since then too, both times they just found my crohns active, but bloods look like they're improving so I'm just told. 'It should improve' as though the answer was to give the pain killers and send me home lol.

Thanks for your reply last night I made a fort f pillows and my heated blanket and I actually slept rather well haha but now I'm scared to move always gets worse through the day!

I had one friend right at the beginning suggest getting my gallbladder tested but then the pain became bearable and less frequent so I guessed whatever it was ha gotten better lol!
