Hey,

Yesterday (Monday 9th Feb) I have surgery due to an anal fistula, they said they "laid it open".

I did feel horrible after the waking up from anaesthetic but I think that is fairly common. Today I have having some abdominal pain though.

They said they preformed an endoscopy during the operation but I wouldn't have thought that they went to far up the colon since it was an anal fistula. my pain feels higher up in the colon, somewhere along the "Transverse colon" somewhere near the liver.

Is this normal? does anyone have any idea what the pain could be?

Thank you

Cameron

So the pain in abdomen has subsided, it must of just been down to the Crohn's.

Although I have been feeling very tired and achy the past couple of days, especially my legs. Has anyone experienced this after fistula surgery? Is it normal?

Hi Cameron,
Sorry, just saw your post.
Unfortunately I have no advice. Hopefully someone will be along soon who can help.

Sending you my support.

Thanks for the reply DJW.

Does anyone know why I would be feeling so tired, weak and achy ?

I do have Methotrexate injections, which do make me feel tired and nauseous. I have the injection Friday evening so today I feel quite rubbish.

do you think it is just due to the Crohn's? or due to the Methotrexate? or something else?

Thanks

Cameron

The tired, weak, and achy could be the flu. How long has it been going on?

Since the surgery on Monday.

I know Humira and Methotrexate make you more prone to infection and the Flu but I have not had any other symptoms of the Flu.

Does anyone know what the symptoms of infection would be post-op fistula?

The pain seems to be worse now than it was after the surgery, which was last Monday.

Thanks

Cameron
