I am currently in "remission", but there is apparently an area of scar tissue or obstruction in my small bowel from a previous surgery. I have cramps every 3-5 minutes that rate 8-10 on pain scale. I have never found anything that would numb the pain in my gut when going through hours of cramping. Any pain medications, or other methods would be greatly appreciated.

If it's that bad, maybe you need to get checked out?
I have had obstruction aswell and only pain meds through IV works for relief.

Yeah I know I have a partial blockage from scar tissue but I can't afford to have a resection. Im sticking to a low residue diet and having regular bowel movements. Just wondering if there is something out there that could numb intestines

Oh ok. Whenever i get a partial blockage, i go on a liquid diet only, a lot of hot tea, hot baths, and in bed. I find hot peppermint tea works excellent for me.

I have an area of narrowing as well, and the only thing that really helps is morphine. I've tried Tylenol, hycosamine, medical marijuana, and meditation. My GP doesn't like to prescribe opiates, so right now I am relying on meditation and Tylenol, so there are many days where I am bent over in pain. Donnatal seems like it might help. I might ask my GP about it. Have you tried amytriptyline? It relaxes smooth muscles and might help as well.

I'm kind of glad you brought this up. I'm in the midst of problems from surgery. I have an abscess or cyst that they keep draining and it keeps returning. However, I'm in chronic pain. Due to all the hype around pain medications, I'm struggling. Tylenol 3 isn't cutting it and issuance doesn't want to cover another surgery even though every doctor I see is advising it.
