Pain, meds or other?

I have been on prednisone 40mg a day, and pentasa 500mg 8-pills a day since friday. Have been hurting for a month now on the right side from my hip up to my ribs. Was DX with Crohn's 3 days ago. How long does it take the meds to take affect? Does anyone with the same meds have a stool color change? Im changing to a gray color.

Sorry about your dx. Pred is fast acting. I recall feeling it start working within a week; but its been awhile.

Yea. I hurt more. Today is the worse yet. Bad side effects from the prednisone. I look like im expecting a baby. Having to take my pain meds. And I dont like taking them.

Begining to wonder if I have a blockage.
