I know major stresses can cause stomach pains. I feel like my stomach starts cramping with the slightest hint of trouble. I get pain, diarrhea, and sometimes nausea.
For example, if me and my bf start arguing in the least, all the above happens. I feel like he sometimes thinks I claim these things simply to dodge an argument, though he never fully mentioned it. He'll just say,but you were fine ten minutes ago.
So am I imagining this, am I just crazy? I don't feel like I'm imagining it though.

Doctors are always telling me stress causes physical symptoms, but I used to find it so hard to believe because I never seem to react to stress physically. The more people I talk to, however, the more I realise that I'm probably in a minority. It seems most people have some physical response to emotional stress, and if you have a medical condition the symptoms you experience when stressed are likely to relate to your illness. So people with Crohn's would experience more digestive problems.

I don't think anyone would think you're crazy - it's people like me whose symptoms don't correlate with stress that are unusual.

To be honest, I don't know lol I had a Colonoscopy a few weeks ago and there was still some inflammation but it'd went down a lot. I have trouble remembering to take my medication sometimes so maybe that's to blame.
did you have that problem when you were flaring?

It doesn't sound like you are in remission, or have been long enough to be sure. What medication are you taking? Only Pentasa? How long have you been on it?

I had the problem worse when I was flaring. As I went into remission, it became less of an issue - I do still have little twinges when I get stressed, and sometimes a lot of pain if I'm extremely stressed, but it's not every time now.

Yes, just pentasa since May.
It makes me feel silly when it starts hurting like that over minor things lol
I'm still not clear on remission is that when the inflammation is completely gone? If so does the symptoms go away then? Sorry I'm still unclear on some things
Thanks, by the way!!! : )

When you're in remission the inflammation will be gone, yes. You might still have symptoms, but not often - probably not on a daily basis. You also might be completely symptom free. The important part is that you definitely feel better. :)

It doesn't sound like the Pentasa is quite doing the job. Have you talked to your GI lately?
