has she changed any of her medications lately? I also know that she is still semi un-diagnosised. Have they ever done a SMBT or swallow test to see if the disease if effecting the upper part of her GI.
I do not have hiccups a lot but I do have problems swallowing and it comes from my GERD and CD. For me it is caused by infamattions.
DS has had them since before birth.
When he is flaring they can last most of the day and do hurt.

Drinking a large glass of water sometimes work typically. They hurt more at bed so we just try to get him back to sleep.
I've been looking up different things about the painful hiccups.
GERD keeps pooping up but so does Hiatus Hernia. That brings to mind when she suffered her prolapse she acted as if she was gasping/reflex/hiccuping and the end of pushing.
Could she have suffered this also? No real painful hiccups today but I know they can come and go. I'll be talking to the doc on Tuesday.
Prolapse and hiccups and gets can all be from connective tissue disorder as well as motility issues --- ie Ethlers Danlos syndrome
