Hello,

A week ago I was bleeding a lot and when I stood up I fell down and fainted from the amount of blood I lost. My mom saw me on the floor and drove me to the hospital, so I went to ER and they kept me there for 3 days in the hospital. I kept bleeding, but after 4 days it was over and I was released with Entocort. Entocort doesn't help as well as imuran it seems though.

So 2 days ago I took a painkiller ,paracetamol, Dafalgan, and I realised I did the same thing before I fainted that day with all the blood, I took painkillers. These are the only 2 times this year I took a painkiller and both times, 1 day after I had bleeding. Now again I have blood, but I think it's a bit less now and I think I'll be ok now.

Why oh why don't these painkillers include that you can't take them if you have crohn's?

Paracetamol is one of the safe ones for Crohn's. It could just be coincidence that you bled, coincidence does not always equal causation.

Life is strange sometimes. I haven't actually fainted, but I wish I had after I bled out a horror movie in the ER waiting room bathroom. Fainting would have been easier--I had to hold onto the walls and stalls of the bath room, my brain was going wowowowowow (if you know what I mean) & everything was blurry and I could barely talk. I felt like I was going to die and I felt like it took me forever to get to the check in desk from the bathroom.

Its wonderful that your mother found you and got you help as soon as possible.

everything was blurry and I could barely talk. I felt like I was going to die

Everything went black for my eyes and I was convinced I was dying, then I just fell and woke up a few minutes later with mom next to me. I didn't feel much pain after though, which is weird, even though I bled a lot, I didn't feel any pain.

I didn't feel any pain either when I was bleeding a river--you'd think it would be painful with the amount of blood we actually lost---I almost passed out and you really did.:poo:

That is so scary, when brain's start going wowowowo, vision is blurry and your hanging on to walls that's a really bad sign!!!! I'm not being trite I really am glad you are ok, luckily since being diagnosed I have not had one of those major bleed outs, heard, read about them but not experienced that.... yet. Has anyone tried mesosilica? This is suppose to help with pain and aid in digestion. Just wondering.
