pass the crohns please
hey all my fellow crohns victims. im stayc and i have had severe crohns for 17 yrs now. wow has it only been that long? it honestly feels like 2 lifetimes already. since i was finally diagnosed after being accused of being anorexic and that i was making up the pain for attention for over a year, i have had over 50 operations. Including the entire removal of my large intestine(after a yr and a half in the hospital on a feeding machine), 80% of my small intestine, permanent ileostomy, removal of my rectum and my uterus. i have had over 20 surgeries on fistulas, i have had 11 kidney stones and i have had 6 muscle repair surgeries too! since i got sick i have had a surgery every yr. but i will say since i have had the ileostomy my life is so so much better. my hospital stays before the bag would be for months and months. i have had the bag for almost 10yrs now and even though i have had a surgery every yr since my quality of life is 100% better. along with the ostomy i am currently taking methadone(300mls aday),(after trying every other pain med under the sun), 18 codeine tabs, and i also smoke weed. my doctor is very understanding and i love that we work together to fix my everyday chronic pain. i also suffer with fibromyalgia/arthristis and i stuggle with my appetite daily too! i have actually written a book all about my life with crohns. i have no clue what to do next but i do know if only there had been a book like mine around when i was first i told i was sick , i feel like i could had help dealing with it all. ok this is the third time since i signed up that i wrote out my story and because i dont have a computer and have to do this from my phone, it is very different. if i make a mistake(like i have inthe last couple lines)and attempt to fix it, it erases the whole thing. i am stopping now and i will finish again later. thanks for reading.
