passing alot of mucus =/

:ybatty:right sorry for another post, but im still learning about this disease and when something new happens i get a tad bit worried.

I seem to be having a falre from hell (my worst so far) joint pain, loss of appitite, cant eat one thing that dont make me need the loo the normal stuff i guess for us.

Been noticing that when i wipe myself(sorry for to much info) thats theres alot of yellow/clear mucus thats like jelly coming out. Im pretty sure iv got an anal fisture. But my consultant cant see me till the 31st and my gp isnt to helpful in this area, they seem to be affraid to help me half the time and just refere me else were.

Is this normal(well normalish for us lol) or is this something i should be worried about, i stress alot about the whole experience because i just dont know enough about it, i try and read up about it as much as i can but i just dont seem to have enough knowledge as it would seem, so im calling for help from the people that live with this everyday =) thanks for reading xx

According to the Bristol Stool Scale, having mucous present may indicate that too much unhealthy foods or personal allergens are being ingested. Not sure what to think of that for us IBD peeps. though.

I am in remission, and have formed stools every time, but I always have mucous. It's pretty normal for me.

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress over it. That never does us any good. Just bring it up to your GI on the 31st. If things get worse, however, see if you can get in sooner to your doc.

god nos iv had it before just never made me think untill now that it keeps coming back, it has blood init too so dont know if that makes much of a difference, think il get a drs app before to so they can look =) thanks for the reply =) xx

Sure thing. I hope everything turns out alright for you. Fingers crossed.

I have an ongoing issue with mucus. The only place my GI thinks it could be coming from is the mild inflammation in my rectum (the rest of my colon is clear). So, don't panic. You may not have fissure or fistula. It most likely is coming from the inflammation.
