So, does anyone else ever notice a pattern in which they have "bad days?" I don't know what it is, but I seem to have bad days on Monday, Tues., and Wed. all the time. It's really weird and I can't seem to figure it out. I have never paid much attention to it but my family's pointing it out. The GI didn't think much of it.

And regarding work: How do you guys deal with the pain and fatigue at work? I have never really dealt well with pain, and it's even more difficult when I have to worry about having it at work. I tend to not go to work when I'm having a bad day because I work in a very customer focused role, and when I am having a bad day I tend to get a bit short with people. I worry a lot about it because I have been missing a lot of work lately.

Thanks for any input.

Ohhh yes. Mondays are pretty much guaranteed to be bad days for me. I work Mon-Fri so I think I just get out of my groove on the weekends. I sleep in, I don't drink as much water as I should, and I don't eat at the same times on the weekends as I do during the week. By Sunday evening I usually have the start of a headache, and by Monday morning I'm usually having cramps, d, pain, etc. I've been trying to do better but it's so easy to be lazy on the weekends and not stick to the same eating & sleeping schedule that I do during the week. Plus I think some of it is stress, which I can't really control - the weekends are usually pretty stress-free and Monday morning the stress gets amped up again, which I know affects me badly.

I'm fortunate that I have a desk job and I don't have to deal with the public much (I sometimes answer the office phone, but don't usually see customers face-to-face). Unless I'm having a really bad day, I can usually push myself to get through a typical yucky Monday. As soon as I get home from work on Monday evenings, I either go right ot bed or I just veg on the couch until bedtime so that I am pretty rested and able to face Tuesday. Usually Tuesdays are a lot better, so I guess that part is working anyway.

I hope you are able to figure out why certain days are bad for you! Oh, and if you're missing a lot of work, make sure to apply for Family Medical Leave (FMLA). That guarantees you can take up to 90 days off of work due to illness (unpaid, unless you use existing sick or vacation time - at least that's how it is at my workplace) and they can't fire you for your absences. I applied for that last year (and probably will this year too) and it wasn't too bad. There are a couple forms that you fill out and your doctor fills out like 4 pages that basically just say that your illness makes it so that you will likely need to call in sick more often than the average person would. I'm undiagnosed and I still got approved for FMLA, so it's pretty easy to get set up for.

Where in the midwest are you? You're not a fellow Sconnie are you?

That is very interesting because I tend to be ill on Mondays the most as well, I would even say Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays also. I actually started taking Wednesdays off because I thought it would be a good break in the middle of the week but I wonder if it would have been a better idea to take MOndays off, but then Tuesdays would become Mondays:) who knows right? Anyways, I was noticing that the Wednesdays off was helping for a little while but just this week, I have been off since Monday. I am a teacher and just had March break and I wonder if the relaxation of the week to the stress of going back Monday is what caused all the problems. Nice question.

Mondays are typically my worst days too! I would agree with Cat about the change of pace onf the weekends...I eat different, sleep different. My husband also noticed that almost every time I get really sick is a weekend. It sometimes starts Friday night already. I'm not sure why. I'm a SAHM, so my responsibility is the same no matter what day (other than how busy Sundays can be getting 2 little ones ready for church).

Does your husband have the weekends off? Maybe the change in his routine affects you?

As for me, I have to go against the grain here. Later in the week is worse for me. Partly because I get tired from being at work, and partly because I try and get chores done earlier in the week, so later on I have less to do and notice the tiredness more.

I have the same Monday issue much of the time. I wonder to myself if its the dust (because I have failed at Suzy Homemaker 101) or the dogs (that I could never live without)
that are causing an allergic reaction, or something in or around my house, its been that way for some time now, I plug on, get myself to work most of the time anyway, but now and again, theres just no way!
