Last week when I started Pred for my flare, I began to have an allergic reaction within 30 minutes. Even though this was my first time on Pred and I had been on Pentasa since December 2011, the Dr. thinks that my reaction was most likely to the Pentasa and was a delayed reaction. This is because Pred is usually used to prevent or solve other allergic reaction problems.
I'm still baffled at how I can have an allergic reaction 4 months after starting a drug...and on the same day as I started one that I've never taken.
Anyone had similar experience with this? I've stopped the Pentasa and return to the Dr. (AGAIN) Tuesday to discuss the next medication step...most likely Imuran or a biologic...
