Seriously,
I hate it this year for it. Last year I was alll tiny, lost a lot of weight, could not eat(people around me could very well see me with my baby jar and ensure), and well, I, on the overall, looked sick and unhealthy (it was a fact).

Now that I am in remission, or presumed so so far, everyone around questions the amendment that I have regarding schooling and work (my term are part time and my job is normally requiring me full time schedule but allows me with the part time as I am recognized as a full time student with it). They keep asking for darn new papers and stuff while the first paper was not stipulating any end date (as this disease never ends geez). Can't they just understand that the part time studies are not just for when you are completely sick (that moment, I'm not in school at all!!) and are also a measure of preventing excess of stress that, in my case, is a trigger?

Arrgghhh just had to vent...

My school is awful with it! I have to submit a new doctor's note every single year saying I have a disability, as if they think crohns just goes away like the flu and the case managers I have to talk too about accommodations always try to talk me into taking reduced classes because they think disability means we can't keep up or something.

Fortunately I am symptom free with my crohns but these are the reasons I don't tell people about my crohns because everyone always tries to treat me differently.

I think people just don't get it unless they have to go through something similar themselves. After my surgery, my GP signed me off for 3 weeks but my boss was dropping very heavy hints that she wanted me back at work - at least for some time - before that. This was even after I'd explained that I couldn't drive for at least 2 weeks.
Now she has had to have a hysterectomy and has been off work since the middle of January. She's on a phased return now and her attitude to me has been quite different !

It is just so annoying! Can't they just understand the term chronic that comes with Crohn lol! They should buggle it and figure it out! Oh well, one day maybe they will understand how administrative Sh*t are nearly non-sense! I just simply hate going to my doctor and take what I consider "precious" time to fill these paper over and over when I know some people are in pain and anxious waiting for important appointment.
