I got the results of my biopsy today. They said that I DO NOT have Crohn's. They said that the polyp I had removed had "abnormal" cells but was not cancerous? (not sure what to make of that) I guess that's the good news. I was told I had IBS and they put me on Robinul. Has anyone had any good/bad luck with it? I guess its supposed to help with the cramps and D. I have to have yearly colonoscopies to keep a "close watch" on future polyps. I am gonna keep an eye on the post about "symtimatic, but undiagnosed" I have alot of the same issues he has and I am curious about your responses to his post. ~ Dawn

No other tests! I have been having issues for years and my regular doctor just kept treating the symtoms (gall bladder surgery, polyp removal, internal repairs) and finally I asked to see a specialist and he did the colonoscopy and told me to take these new med's at night and go back to my regular doctor. No advise on what to do about any of the other symptoms. I am going back for a "check up" on the new meds on the 25th and gonna schedule an appt with my regular doctor and see what they say. I get more advise from this site than I have ever gotten from either doctor!! LOL And alot of what they told me was COMPLETELY wrong! My regular doctor had me stay on my "gall bladder" diet which is sooooo opposite of a low residue diet that seems to be a little better on my stomach. I think my own trial and error is gonna have to be my solution until things get really really bad, and thats what scares me a little. ugh

This site has taught me that you are your own advocate. I was dx with IBS at 17, and I know thats not whats wrong. Go with what you feel. If the meds help, great! Having IBS is a whole lot better than crohns (not symptom-wise, but it doesn't damage you). If they don't, go to your doctor and don't back down until you get answers. I'm slowly learning this the hard way!
