Just had my first colonoscopy.

My blood work is normal, every test they have ever done on me is "normal" however I have pretty much constant D, some days I get lucky with a more normal BM. I have stomach pain, sometimes excruciating, joint pain... Parellel sides of body, jumps around from joint to joint. Sometimes horrible back pain that comes and goes. I lost 50lbs when I was super ill before I changed my diet. My weight is somewhat maintaining at 130lbs since my diet change, I am 5"8 and used to weight 180.

At my colonoscopy they found polyps and biopsies were taken. Does anyone here have polyps?

My cousin has confirmed crohns. My mother is celiac but is being referred to a gastro because her GP suspects something more, my mother also survived ovarian cancer. Gallbladder removal is common On my moms side... Uncle is lactose.. My Dad has rheumatoid arthritis. Diabetes and MS also in my family.

Hi,IB it sounds like Crohns, but because symptoms vary so much from person to person it's hard to tell. hope you find out soon just what's wrong...have you had a CT or MRI as that's how my Crohns was found. sending best wishes..

My first colonoscopy found one polyp which they removed and the biopsy showed was benign.

I think it's one of those things that a lot of people have without realising it. But for us chances are it's Crohn's related.
