Poop for an ostomate

So what should we call the mucous when it comes out of our butt? Should we say we are mucousing? What should we call it when we empty our bags? Are we bagging? Just a fun random thread for ostomates in my delirium.

hahaha, I can't. I get my shot in a half hour. Then off to pick up my mom at her office because her car's in the shop. Then I've got to go to Campus Ministry tonight. So tomorrow should be very interesting.lol

haha i call it either mucousing or mucous poo. "i have to mucous!!" hahahah i dont really say it out loud though. when i have a mucous flood before i can make it to the bathroom i still call that crapping myself.

haha, yeah I was just thinking about that on the way home from school today. I think I've finally settled into delirium and until I can get a good nights sleep I won't get out.lol It didn't help I took a Benedryl last night to make me sleep. I think it's totally appropriate though for us to say, "I have to mucous!" Can you imagine having to go to a bathroom, the place won't let you use their toilets so you yell, "I have to mucous!!!". I think they'd lead you to the bathroom right away.haha

I just tell people I bagging my S*$T to go. If they piss me off I tell them to watch out or I will decorate them like a cupcake - they quickly back down.

ok Ive been reading threads to perpare myself for surgery but when i got to this one I didn't know that I would also have mucus after getting a bag is that everyone or does it depend on weather your recktom is removed or not . thanks:eek2:

Obviously if you have your rectum removed and sewn up you won't have any mucous. If you have things left intact, then you'll have mucous secretions. Your intestines are very much like a vagina, nostril, your mouth...they're always wet...it's just the way it is.

Trust me on this though, it's soooo much better than actually pooping...lol Takes no effort whatsoever and no pain

:rof:You guys are so funny! e-mailed my Doc. last night to tell him I've desided. So I think in about 10 days or two weeks just waiting for a call . He said he needed to schedule it when he doesn't have anyone else because mine might take all day only if he can save my bottom.
If he cant remove it and its all fused together than he doesn't want to risk my life just to be able to go normaly, so I won't find out til I wake up. So I'm quessing if he leaves the rec. I still might have some Muoo and BOOZE
