:) Hey all!! How is everyone? I haven't been around in awhile but wanted to stop in and say hi. I am getting married soon. I haven't picked the date but it'll be spring probably as I want an outside wedding. :) I quit smoking! 4 months ago today so I am thrilled about both. If you are a smoker and want to quit, I highly suggest Chantix! I have gained 23 lbs in the past 4 months, lol. I guess for a crohnnie it may be a good thing. Life's going well. Hugzz to all of you out there that remember me. Hope you all have been taking care of yourself. :)

Hey thats great! I hope you have a very lovely wedding and that you don't get too stressed. I have heard it is very hard to quit smoking so I am very happy for you that you have been off of them for so long. It is amazing.

Congratulations on the engagement and on quitting smoking. Don't worry about the weight gain too much. I have had this happen every time I quit. You will level off at some point as long as you eat good healthy food. And if you ever consider starting again to lose weight, it does not come off as easy as it goes on.

I have been through a couple of weddings in the last year as a parent, and may have another one before long. It is a lot of work and stress. Get started with the organization and planning early, so you do not over do it in a mad rush.

Good Luck

Dan

Tonya,
I happen to be getting married next summer (June 6, 2009.) and I would agree with the planning thing. My fiance and I found a reception site that will do all the work for us. We are getting married in a church, so we have to do all the pre cana stuff (We are both Roman Catholic) and they need at least 6 months before the wedding to get everything done.

Good luck with the wedding and if you want any other advice, I am full of it. I have been in four weddings in the last two years and I have another next summer just after mine. :)

Thanks guys...and gals. I started an exercise program yesterday and changing several parts of my diet. Hopefully the fat will turn to muscle and I can get healthier. Quitting smoking was tough, then this weight creeped up on me. Funny because when I smoked I couldn't gain a pound and always blamed it on crohn's. So really never thought I'd gain much when I quit but suprise, lol. The point of quitting was to be healthier so that includes exercise and eating better anyways I guess. Hugzz all!
