Possible CDiff

Sighs, went on Humira recently and developed explosive diarrhea, stomach noises and fever. Went to ER, blood work normal; got sent home. Went to GI and got tested for Cdiff and other bacterial infections. Now awaiting results....

My question is, can WBC be normal with CDiff? I'm so sick of this year.

Yes, wbc were normal for my dd but she always as normal(ish) numbers. She had it twice.

I think my labs were normal when I had c diff. My first c diff test came back neg, but the second came back positive.

Does Cdiff feel like creatures crawling your intestines? This feels really strange.

They say good advice is always wipe front - back with crohns, also try using sterilising anti-bacterial materials on yourself (ie wet wipes etc) and this minimizes the risk of cross-contamination, hope you recover speedily

I was just diagnosed with it yesterday. My GI said mine was probably from so many antibiotics in the last six weeks. My intestines don't feel like something is crawling inside, never had that feeling. Mine feels like my intestines are dying. Literally. Usually i have left sided pain, but now more of right sided pain, and just PAINFUL with bleeding & D each BM. I have NO appetite, lost at least ten pounds in a week, and am feeling dehydrated yet once again. Hopefully you will find the answers you need and can get back on the right track.

I don't remember a crawly feeling, but I just felt sore inside everywhere. C diff is also known for causing really foul smelling watery diarrhea, above and beyond the normal grossness of regular diarrhea. The smell is really distinctive.

I think mine is from antibiotics too. I had two blockages this year. It's been an awful year for me health wise and I'm scared of what's in store for me with this screwed up body of mine. So sad....possibly missing a family party today. Life is passing me by. Feel better dear...

It's like air bubbles traveling feeling. No foul smell for me but poop is somewhat orange. How did you treat yours and did it reoccur?

Negative now what? My son and I are still sick. Doc wants to do a colonoscopy next Monday. Not sure if its a good idea.

Can you call and ask the GIs opinion?
I think the scopes are so very important. It might shed more light on why your feeling so bad.

Sometimes the only way they can really tell is by looking or biopsies.
It would be easier if there was a gut function test to avoid scopes .

Turned out to be salmonella and my son has it too now sighs.
